You would be better off blending with rocks

I bought this at bed bath and beyond. They were nice enough to take it back. This blender doesn't blend. At all. The engineers who designed this were either stupid or high. I can't imagine the product control people testing this and passing it on for sales.Here's what happens. The blade just spins and doesn't pull the food down. It can't chop ice. It can't blend protein drinks. It can't chop food. It is basically a $300 paper weightIf you are considering this blender, run for the hills. Save your money and find another one. Or go in your back yard, find two good rocks, wash them real good and use them rather than this cuisinart blender. It will be cheaper and will actually work better.

Cuisinart SB-2000SA Blender

This was ordered from Supreme Electronics as a gift, and was just opened (as relative was here after Christmas for gift-giving). There is NO instruction BOOKLET. This product arrived in the original carton (no protective box/mailing box), and has a label that covers the original product # on the box. The model # on the bottom of the unit is different. The box states: "For your safety...always read instructions carefully before using." Minimal instructions printed on 4 sides of box are not adequate to operate unit. This is the mistake of Supreme Electronics, not manufacturer. Cuisinart is not to blame for this. C. Bryant.
