Not all accessories shown in pictures are included

Great blender. Feels sturdy and every part seems to be high-quality, better than my old Oster blender.I would have given this blender 5 stars but I take one out because the pictures and video show a juice maker and a mini-mill and additional small cup mixer. Those are not included. What comes are the blender and the food processor with the standard blade, two different grating wheels, the egg beater and the dough maker. The scale is great.It's expensive and I might not have bought it had I known the juice maker did not come with it.I don't even know where to get that attachment as it was not in the DeLonghi site.

Wish I could rate higher

I bought my Delonghi Food Processor/Blender in January 2011 for 2 main reasons: 1. Delonghi's good reputation and 2. Space-saving, two-in-one foodprocessor blender would take up less cabinet and counter space. It was a bit higher priced than I thought it should be but if it could save space and be functional for our fruit smoothie loving family it would be worth it. Now the 2 stars is for the blender caraffe/blade housing not the food processor parts or the motor. The food processor has worked well for me but I haven't really worked it out yet. The blender I use 7 days a week. I make fruit smoothies every morning. I do not use ice but I do use frozen strawberries, blueberries etc. I have had to retun the blender twice in less than a year because the plastic part that connects the blender blades to the motor housing strips. I believe it is bad design as I have looked at the better model blenders and they do not use a weak plastic like Delonghi does in such a demanding area. The first time I returned my blender caraffe it took over 6 weeks for a replacement. This last time it only took about 3 weeks but the color on the plastic part of the caraffe is different than the motor housing and now it looks unsightly on my counter. For $300. which is what we paid last year I expected a blender that could handle blending. I'm sorry to say that if I had read this review last year I would not have bought the product. I hope they are able to correct the problem.

Great but...

This is my first food processor, so I may be expecting things that aren't possible. I have been using it for making baby food for my twins. It has been great, but it is hard to use a measuring cup to scoop out the food as the centre piece for the blade is in the way. I also find that when grating things, a lot more material than I expected seems to be left ungrated regardles of my using the proper equipment. The machine is easy to clean though, and I do think it is relatively quiet. Being dishwasher safe is a much needed bonus for me too! I LOVE the blender attachment and that the glass is all one piece for easy cleaning and assembly. It is nice to have one base for two apliances. The scale is sure to come in handy one day too as some recipies call for weight and I have nothing else like this.
